While listening to one of the online courses I’m taking through Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, I’m learning A LOT. One interesting thing to me, was that there’s apparently some discussion on why Luke recorded in Acts the Apostles making their own decision on who will replace Judas. Some say that Luke did so to reveal a failure of the Apostles, since an Apostle can only be appointed by Jesus Christ, not by lots. And then in contrast, they say, you have Christ coming down and revealing himself to Saul and choosing him – which is the proof Paul uses for the authority of his position.
Maybe it’s not THAT interesting.
